About The White Horse Inn
At the heart of this thriving Dartmoor community lies a genuine slice of foodie heaven.
Over the past two years the current owners have lovingly restored this once spit and sawdust venue bringing all of their European culinary experience to bear in transforming The White Horse into a destination dining experience.
The pub sits right at the heart of Moretonhampstead and whilst the food side of the business has been fundamental to its success, it has not lost sight of its place within the community and its duty to provide something for everybody. It is for this reason that regular live gigs have been at the cornerstone of The Horse's transformation.
The same ethos and quality control which governs the kitchen is applied in equal measure to the live entertainment itinerary and over the last two years some amazing names have played here live.
The White Horse is still a work in progress and within the next 2/3 years hopes to be able to extend its welcome to overnight guests as the major rebuild of the first and second floors is completed. But for now visitors will have to be content with fantastic award winning ales and wines, world class musicians and entertainers, and of course an unforgettable meal.

Nigel was an actor for 15 years. His passion and theatricality is evident both in his dishes and in the occasional service time histrionics! His understanding of food and flavours is earning him a burgeoning reputation.
Malene Dieckmann Graulund - Proprietor
Restaurant manager, book keeper, waitress, barmaid, laundry lady, commis chef and mum. Malene holds it all together. She is The Boss. And Nigel knows it!
Daisy Dieckmann Hoyle - Rug Rat
Daisy is currently in training to become restaurant manager, book keeper, waitress, barmaid, laundry lady and commis chef. She has a little way to go.
